An Australian born musician and citizen of the world, Mark Dunbar grew up in country Victoria. Exposure to music came at an early age soaking up a wide selection of sounds from 60’s pop to 70’s rock and Americana through his parents record collection. After relocating to the UK, Dunbar went on to study guitar and graduate with award from The London Institute of Contemporary Music. Through living and studying in the UK Dunbar was exposed to Trip Hop and started incorporating drum machines along with other electronic elements in his music creation. Dunbar's musical education and exposure continued via extensive travel throughout Europe, Canada, USA and Latin America. Dunbar has played lead and rhythm guitar roles among various pop and funk band line ups. Dunbar released his first official solo EP titled "Far From Home" in 2019 which takes inspiration from his musical roots, crafting a mix of folk and Americana inspired songs that range from peaceful nostalgia to foot stomping primal rhythms. Follow up single "Don't Come Around" sees Dunbar take on a bigger full band sound. Both Dunbar's EP and single have been receiving solid community radio play around Australia.
